Steam download older workshop version

I don't like to subscribe to large mods in Steam workshop for this reason, especially for trucks, because all I want is the 300 Mb of the last version, but I get 900 Mb for older versions that are useful for some but not necessary for me and for my small SSD. I make an exception for Drive Safely's sounds because he update his pack almost daily and I won't be able to keep up with a non-steam version
You can remove the older versions from a steam mod, I guess it will only be downloaded again when the author will update his mod.
sometimes I recommend mod authors to pack their mods with WinRAR as normal which will reduce size significantly and add only sounds with store option, but not all are listening these kind of advices...
