2-Day Port Owen Experience
A unique two-day tour called the Port Owen Experience has been launched that promises to immerse visitors in the best of the picturesque, culinary and culture-rich Cape West Coast.
The Port Owen Experience explores the undiscovered areas around the town of Velddrif and the beautiful Port Owen marina – St Tropez on the Berg River.
Tour participants will spend two nights at the luxurious guest house Russells on the Port, with arranged excursions that include – amongst other items – a boat trip on the marina (accompanied by wine and pizza); a visit to the fish museum; exploring the renown Bokkom Laan (including the River Studio art gallery, a tour of a bokkoms factory and coffee at Columbine); beer tasting and a brewery tour at Charlie’s Brew House; and sumptuous meals at Russells On the Port restaurant and Charlie’s Brewhouse.
The Port Owen Experience is the brainchild of UK businessman and entrepreneur, Russell Foster, who now calls Port Owen home. Foster owns and operates both Russells on the Port and Charlie’s Brewhouse.
“The Cape West Coast is a beautiful part of the world. The water ways in the Port Owen Marina attract bird watching enthusiasts, boaters, canoeists, fishermen and families just generally enjoying the outdoors. I could not think of a better place to launch the Port Owen Experience and we are very excited for this new venture and to showcase this part of the world to visitors,” says Foster.

How to Book
The 2-Day Experience cost R4000 per person or R7800 per couple and includes 4- Star B&B accommodation, meals, museum tours, a boat cruise, brewery tour, plus transport between experiences.
